I know, not exactly gardening ? but i finally got the soil, new pot and gardening shovel all together at work and wouldn't you know the peace lily have 2 blooms on it. it really really needs to move up in pot size.
any opinions...should i wait til its done blooming or go ahead and transplant now?

I have three lily bulbs - regular Asiatic lilies (Lilium 'Brunello', I believe), which I haven't been able to plant earlier due to a deluvian weather for several weeks straight. Pulling them out of the fridge today - on this wee-pocket-of-sunny-weather day, perfect for gardening - I found that they had sprouted 5 cm.

As I've enjoyed my garden this year, I've experienced with cutting some flowers back as they die down to see if the plant will put off a second round of blooms. I've had varied success and I'm wondering what plants will bloom more than once if cut back ( Read more... )

I have a mystery lily in my yard. Last year I had put a stargazer lily in a large pot. To my surprise it sprung back up this year and you would think I took great care of it but I did nothing; it's basically a weed I didn't pull. These were planted by a previous owner and was getting hidden under an overgrown shrub. I relocated them and they all see to be happier in their new corner. [s]I'm not sure what they are though - some kind of lily?[/s] They are cannas.
